A sterling silver tie bar featuring a pair of cherries. The tie bar was made by Danish silversmith Georg Jensen to commemorate the Danish liquor maker Peter Heering's most famous creation; Cherry Heering. This liqueur is an ingredient in many cocktails such as the Singapore Sling, and Blood & Sand. The tie slide was possibly made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the liqueur in 1968. This would tie in with the post 1945 Jensen hallmark. The slide comes in the original unusual red Jensen box. All other Jensen boxes are either blue or a cream colour. Made in  Denmark
