- Before any service work on the belt is begun to be sure that the motor or engine is switched off and cannot be started.
- Important:
- Check for worn tensioners and idler pulleys. This is the best time to replace these part these parts if needed.
- Belt Removal:
- Loosen adjustment or pivot bolts.
- Move adjustment unit to minimum position.
- Remove belt.
- Belt Installation:
- Place new belt loosely on pulleys. Do not pry onto pulleys.
- Tension belt according to manufacturer's instruction.
- Run drive 5 minutes and retension. Belts must be tight enough to prevent slipping when drive is fully loaded.
